The test version 1(commit 7e66a8ef9571f5812f84d3180f19c998caaf81fd) is available on https://github.com/philippoehler/sepiola/tree/cygwin-rsync-ssh
For better integration to the develop branch, i created a new branch cygwin-rsync-ssh
and reworked all commits since 46d32dbc1f677591f9e9bce3602e983fb399b13f.
Setup
The tests are based on the following setup:
- Operating system: windows_7_enterprise_x86 (English)
- Rsync Version: 3.1.2 Installer modifications for sepiola version 2.4
- OpenSSH Version: OpenSSH_7.2p2, OpenSSL 1.0.2h 3 May 2016 Installer modifications for sepiola version 2.4
Report, done
- Obsoleted version on rsync deleted and replaced by the current (cygwin-based) version 3.1.2-1. SeeInstaller modifications for sepiola version 2.4
- Reworked the sepiola installer in order to copy the new tools and the necessary DLLs. See Installer modifications for sepiola version 2.4
- Added ssh 7.3p1-2 to transfer files. Up to now ssh is only used in combination with rsync.
- Solved ssh bug on windows by adding a new folder to the
/User/USERNAME/
directory. This folder contains two files:config
andknown_hosts
. - On a windows system, Putty stores the encrypted fingerprint in the windows registry instead of the .putty folder
/home/USERNAME/.putty
.
Known issues
- After restore, sepiola generates a set_ACL error message in the user log.
- After a successful backup the metadata folder on the server is still empty.
Open points
- Rework the
src/CMakeLists.txt
file in order to copy tools and DLLs to thesepiola/bin
directory. - Rebase all commits up to now and clean up the Project.
